There are few things that pair better than tequila and tacos. Add a bunch of fishy guides and like-minded anglers to benefit conservation and you’ve got yourself a memorable night. That’s exactly what occurred in July at Estias Little Kitchen in Sag Harbor, NY. The event was hosted by Luyen Chou and the GotOne team to unify the local community and support ASGA’s work to conserve saltwater fisheries.
The community showed out on a sunny summer afternoon. Anglers of all skill levels, photographers, chefs and restaurateurs all gathered together for an evening focused on a better path forward for our fisheries. Colin Ambrose and team from Estia’s Little Kitchen provided an outstanding experience for all. Additionally, Kerry Heffernan sliced up some fresh tuna for the group! In between tacos and all the fresh fish, Mauntakila Tequila was there to provide the libations.
Estias Little kitchen has developed a plug and play event model based around incredible food and a tequila sponsor to bring community groups together & support non profits. You won’t ever have to twist our arm to gather for that combination in the name of community work! These gatherings provide a great opportunity to connect, educate and empower advocates, ultimately increasing the wave of momentum for fisheries conservation. A few lucky attendees went home with one of a kind art pieces, fishing reels and sight-fishing optics from Bajio Sunglasses.
Huge thank you to the GotOne team and Estia’s Little kitchen for putting together an amazing gathering as well as all of the sponsor support from Bajio Sunglasses.
Tacos, salt, tequila, lime, repeat. Cheers to everyone who attended!
